BLACK BOX THEATRE 23th & 24th of may

Tickets: www.ticketmaster.no

Selected as one of the year's best performances 2018 in Norwegian Shakespeare Magazine

‘This performance is fundamentally different form anything I’ve seen before. Its allegories urges you to interpret. Yet it is corny, bloody and blunt. However, it is within this bluntness you find the magic of it all’ (Scenekunst.no)

‘The way Susie Wang takes imagination seriously is touching and affecting. Imagination becomes a force of its own and encourages and enhances our ability to see human life in perspective. The strange and grotesque stories request recognition by other means than the purely intellectual ones. Not only does Susie Wang take imagination seriously, but also art, theatre and what may be at the bottom of it all: playing.’ (Norwegian Shakespeare Magazine)

ABOUT:

SUSIE WANG is a Norwegian theatre group that consists of Trine Falch, Martin Langlie, Mona Solhaug and Bo Krister Wallström. After several years of collaboration, we now come together as Susie Wang.

Trine and Bo are former members of the performance collective Baktruppen, who toured the world in the 90s and 00s. Except Martin, who is a musician, we all come from the so-called post-dramatic theatre. Tired of reflecting the world in fragments, we have decided to pick up the pieces and make dramatic storylines based on mimetic presence. Susie Wang likes theatre that takes fiction seriously and sides with dreams, hallucinations and fantasies.
