THE SALMON PLAY - tragedy of the commons (2013-2015)

The Salmon Play celebrates the political machine of propaganda and illusion that has forged the time-honored symbol of the Salmon and its nutritional value. A game that involves ‘everyone’ but only provides income for the few, but also a game that is completely crucial to the survival of the remaining wild salmon population. The Salmon Play is based on a true story, about art meeting the fish farming industry and rural Norway. The Salmon Play explores and focus on the Salmons transformative downstream class travel, where it has ended up as an affordable and dubious distortion of its once nutritional self.
